"The house was beautiful and spacious especially the downstairs living areas we enjoyed every evening. The surrounding area is spectacular with the towns of San Miniato and Empoli close by. San Miniato is a typical hilltop town with many old buildings and fantastic views. The Cafes are welcoming and the people nice. The Villa is situated near to the main road system from Pisa to Florence and allows access to other major cities such as Sienna and Lucca. The Train from San Miniato Basso into Florence is good and allows you to explore without taking a car into the city traffic. The local bars and restaurants are good as are the local Coops, which are massive and have everything you could want for your stay. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and made sure we had a wonderful stay. All ages were catered for with a garden hammock for Mum, swimming pool for a two year old, dad and uncle and gazebo and sun beds for Granddad. The BBQ was excellent and there were plenty of places to sit and enjoy food in the shade at different times of the day. The house is well equipped for a self catering holiday. The views from the house and garden were just stunning and well worth the 2000km drive to get there."

"Wonderfull place, very calm surroundings. The house is perfectly held. Very profesionnal and friendly landlord. Although it is close to Pisa, Lucca and Firenze, the place isn't over touristic and the prices in restaurants are affordable."

"Une location très agréable, très propre et bien équipée. La décoration a été réalisée par les propriétaires comme ils l'auraient fait pour eux. Ce qui donne le sentiment d'être "chez soi". Les pièces sont également spacieuses. A l'extérieur, un très grand jardin amménagé en différents espaces : la piscine sur un terrain surélevé associée à un solarium avec une tonnelle avec salon de jardin pour ceux qui cherchent un peu d'ombre. Le coin repas près de la maison sous une tonnelle également. La pinède sous laquelle a été installé un salon de jardin pour se relaxer au frais. L'environnement est très calme et la vue très jolie (campagne toscane et ville fortifiée de San Miniato). Seul le clôcher sonne les heures et ce n'est pas désagréable. La localisation permet d'être assez proche de visites incontournables en Toscane (Florence, San Gimignano, Pise, Sienne...) ainsi que d'un grand centre commercial où on trouve de tout ! Enfin, l'accueil des propriétaires est charmant et très professionnel. Vous vous sentez d'emblée en confiance. Bref... aucune surprise à l'arrivée ou plutôt que de très bonnes surprises !"

We've just returned from a wonderful week at this house, in the beautiful Tuscan hills. The house and surroundings are much better than the pictures show. The owners are friendly and welcoming. A holiday here is highly recommended for those looking for privacy, and yet is convenient for the town of Empoli, and just 40 minutes from Florence. Beautiful gardens.
